City of Belmont Council Tree Day Site Details

City of Belmont Council

This section of Garvey Park was historically cleared and destined to become residential housing. The local community rallied together, successfully petitioning state government to preserve the land in recognition of its contribution to the environmental values of the wider Garvey Park reserve. The City of Belmont has been managing the site since 2019 and has facilitated several community planting events at this location. Join us to continue rehabilitating this site, providing valuable urban habitat and connectivity.
