Schools Competition

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

By entering the competition, You, the Entrant, hereby accept these competition terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are subject to change by Planet Ark:

1. Each Entrant may submit 1 (one) submission. (Group or Individual)
2. Entries must be submitted by 11:59pm AEST, 30th July 2023.
3. All entries are judged anonymously, and the entrants name must not appear on the poem or story itself.
4. All poems must have a title and must not exceed 40 lines in length (excluding title).
5. All stories must have a title and must not exceed 500 words (excluding title).
6. Entries will be judged based on their creative representation of the theme "Me and My Tree".
7. Each poem, story or artwork presented for judging must be 100% original.
8. Each entry must not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct which would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.
9. Each entry must not infringe upon any copyright, trademark, contractual right, or intellectual property right of a third person or entity or violate any person's rights of privacy or publicity.
10. You warrant that you are the sole copyright owner and author of each entry.
11. You agree to participate in related publicity for the purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity and for your name and image/s to be used indefinitely without additional compensation.
12. To enter the School's competition. All participants must be under the age of 18 on 1st June 2023.
13. To enter the Community competition - there is no legal age limit required
14. All participants must have parental/guardian permission to participate in the competition.
15. Entries must comply with the Submission Requirements outlined below.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. The entrants name must not appear on the poem itself.
2. All poems must have a title and must not exceed 40 lines in length (excluding title).
3. All stories must have a title and must not exceed 500 words (excluding title).
4. Submissions can be made in either written or digital format, but all submissions must be in jpeg/jpg/png/pdf format and must be no larger than 5MB.
5. Digital Specifications: All digital entries must be submitted as 100-150 dpi pdf/jpg/png files.
6. Identification: Each electronic file must be labelled with your first and last name, and image title. Eg.JohnSmith_MeandMyTree_poem.jpg. Keep your own copy of your files, as they will not be returned after the competition

DESIGN USE AND RIGHTS

1. The Entrant gives permission for the reproduction of their work(s) for promotional and advertising purposes
2. The Entrant gives permission for their designs and name to be published as selected award winners in media, exhibitions, events, newsletters, websites owned by or in alliance with Planet Ark for promotional purposes

PRIZING - there are 7 prizes to give away.

• Schools Competiton
• 5 x $500 vouchers (1 x early learning, 2 x primary, 2 x secondary)

• Community Competiton
• 2 x $500 voucher community / individual
