On the first weekend of December every year, we encourage northern Australians to get outside, connect with your community and plant trees for Tropical Tree Day!

Anyone wanting to plant on Tropical Tree Day can do so, however typically this time of year is ideal for the Northern Territory, North Queensland and the northern regions of Western Australia. This is due to the wet season bringing extensive rainfall after the dry, making for better planting conditions in much of northern Australia.

In 2023, we're celebrating Tropical Tree Day on Sunday 3 December, so make sure to register your event to count your trees towards the national tally!

If this day does not work for you, you can plant whenever best suits you and the local climatic conditions – every day is Tree Day.
