Frank Fardell Tree Day Site Details

Frank Fardell

Extensive revegetation of this reserve has been undertaken over the last few years. The site is significant for its large expanse of coastal saltmarsh vegetation including the significant white mangrove community. The shoreline is host for up to 19 species of migratory shorebirds over the warmer months including the critically endangered Eastern Curlew. Replacing invasive weed species with indigenous plants will help provide protection from weeds and increase biodiversity and habitat for local species.
