Help plant native seedlings at Little River

Join Little River Community Landcare members and other community volunteers planting native seedlings to create a grassy woodland and wildlife corridor along the banks of the Little River. What to expect? You will be planting seedlings in the outdoors. You will be given guidance by a leader. You can work in the company of your own family, friends or by yourself if you wish. Breaks will be taken in the paddock. No toilet facilities on site. Transportation will be provided from the meeting point to the planting site. What will you do? Plant native shrubs and grasses. Hammer in stakes. Install tree guards. Water in plants.

What to bring? Drink bottle. Packed lunch. Morning and afternoon tea snacks. Reusable drinking mug What should I wear? Sturdy shoes / gumboots. Knee pads. Long pants. Hat. Coat. Be prepared for all weather conditions. What is provided? Plants and materials. Gloves. Great company and experience. Are children welcome? Children can participate but must arrive and remain in the care of a parent or guardian at all times. Can I bring my dog/cat/pet? Pets are not allowed.
