National Tree Planting Event Tree Day Site Details

National Tree Planting Event

It happens on Wadjuk noongar boodja, where we care for country, this National Tree Day the City of Armadale Environment and Sustainability Team is partnering with volunteers from the Bushland Environmental Working Group (BEWG) to plant over 5000 plants at Gnangangarra Creek, Armadale Settlers Common. Plants have been selected that can assist in restoring micro habitats throughout the southeastern facing slope, this gentle graded slope meets the Gnangangarra creek where the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group has been re-instating frog habitat to build resilience in the land for the future. It is about ecosystem repair, restoration, and re-habilitation, where we strategically replace vegetation assemblages that ensure habitat refuge for wildlife. Help us rewild Armadale by coming along and planting 1 tree or many, we will be onsite from 9-12 pm Saturday the 27th of July 2024.
