Weeding and planting with Kingaroy & Districts Branch Native Plants Qld
The Kingaroy & Districts Branch of Native Plants Qld, with the assistance of local Landcare groups and other volunteers, has undertaken weeding and selected planting in Carroll Nature Area over a number of years. This year we will be concentrating on removing weeds such as Asparagus Fern and Cats Claw Vine. Planting of local native plant species will take place later in the morning.

DIRECTIONS
Carroll Nature Area is a bushland reserve situated on the corner of Coral and Fisher Streets, Kingaroy. The entrance is via the Kokoda Gate in Moonya Street. Registration of participants will take place at a table just inside this gate.
VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
Parking is available near the Apex Lookout in Mooyna Street. All volunteers are requested to bring their own drinking water and food (if required). Participants are required to use their own personal protective equipment, such as gloves and glasses. Suitable clothing and footwear would include a hat, long sleeved shirt, long trousers and stout shoes. Workers are encouraged to bring their own weeding tools. Any children in attendance must remain closely supervised by a responsible adult, and only attempt age-appropriate tasks.
