Yinnar, Yinnar South Landcare Group Tree Day Site Details

Yinnar, Yinnar South Landcare Group

Help us to help the birds and the bees. Enhancing the habitat they need and linking exiting areas of vegetation helps native birds, bees gliders, microbats and gliders. They can then help local native plants and the food crops that we humans rely on by pollinating them. Compared to European Honeybees, native bees don't fly as far, reproduce as quickly or pollinate plants as efficiently. That's why we need to give them the best chance possible of increasing their numbers before the effects of the Varroa mite pest of European Honeybees begin to be felt locally.
