Hazelwood Cemetery Trust Tree Day Site Details

Hazelwood Cemetery Trust

Hazelwood Cemetery is in a lovely area, with views over Hazelwood Pondage and surrounding farmland. The cemetery has a mixture of Australian and European trees and extensive lawn. It has an area nicknamed "Lake Presbyterian" because in wet weather it becomes a pond. There are some old graves at the edge of the pond. Most of the land affected by water has not been used for burials. We would to create an attractive wetland, making a feature of the low lying land, inviting to birds and pollinating insects, and linking to the nearby pollinator corridor currently being established by Latrobe City and Yinnar, Yinnar South Landcare Group.
