Friends of Lane Cove National Park
The aim is to continue the work of hundreds of volunteers over many years to restore this area that was once a pig farm. The work will focus on the restoration and enhancement of the habitat for local indigenous species which includes endangered Powerful Owls which roost nearby.

DIRECTIONS
Come to Tunks Hill Picnic Area in Lane Cove National Park. It is just off Riverside Drive which is accessed by either Delhi Rd or Ryde Rd Park entrances. This is a flat easily accessible site with picnic tables and toilets. Hundreds of volunteers over the years have helped to restore this area which in the past was degraded by farming. You will be continuing this important work, rehabilitating the area and improving the habitat values. Already we have endangered Powerful Owls roosting nearby. As usual Friends of LCNP will provide a delicious sausage sizzle and refreshments.
VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
Volunteers should wear suitable clothing including long sleeves, long trousers shoes and a hat. Friends of LCNP will provide gloves and all tools. Once again Friends of Lane Cove National Park will be providing their superb gourmet sausage sizzle.
