Bridgetown-Greenbushes Community Landcare Tree Day Site Details

Bridgetown-Greenbushes Community Landcare

The Layman Street Reserve is a much loved area, with the river walk passing through it, the reserve attracts both local walkers and tourists. Bridgetown-Greenbushes Community Landcare and the Helping Hands Bushcarers have spent many hours in this reserve, establishing a Hakea Seed Orchard for the Blackwood Environment Society's Community Landcare Nursery. The area that will be planted this year is to the south-east of the seed orchard and will be revegetated with local under-story species to provide habitat for the numerous mammals, reptiles and birds that call Layman Street Reserve home.
