Friends of Dandenong Valley Parklands

To regenerate indigenous bushland using indigenous plants grown by the Friends of Dandenong Valley Parklands. The planting area is in Shepherds Bush, a popular walking area in the Dandenong Valley Parklands. This planting is part of a project to restore the streamside vegetation and wildlife corridor from Wellington Road northwards to Boronia Road.

DIRECTIONS

PARK AND SIGN IN/REGISTER AT 95 SHEPHERD RD, GLEN WAVERLEY. Parking available inside gates at 95 Shepherd Rd, Glen Waverley. Parking is also available in Shepherd Rd. The planting site is a 5 minute walk away, along a narrow track through bushland. Toilets are located at 95 Shepherd Rd.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Clothing should be comfortable and suited to weather conditions on the day. Footwear must be sturdy shoes/boots - no sandals, thongs or open-toed shoes. Please bring filled water bottles and snacks if you intend to stay for more than 2 hours. We recommend bringing your own gardening gloves. Planting tools will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own if so desired. Sausage sizzle from 1:15pm.
