Friends of Dandenong Valley Parklands_Bushy Park planting

To return a former cow paddock to indigenous bushland using indigenous plants grown from seed by the Friends of Dandenong Valley Parklands. The planting area is part of the Bushy Park Wetland, a 30-hectare conservation park in the Dandenong Valley Parklands. This planting is part of a project to restore the streamside vegetation and wildlife corridor from Wellington Road northwards to Boronia Road.

DIRECTIONS

From Glen Waverley, travel east along High Street Rd (State Route 24). Turn left into Drummies Bridge Reserve. (Enter via left turn lane immediately before the 70kph sign.) Follow the access road past Pony Club Pavilion and park at the back of the site where directed. The planting site is behind the car park in Bushy Park Wetlands. Signs will guide volunteers from the car park.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

We will be sharing a car park with Monash Pony Club who will be running club activities on the day. Please follow signs and drive cautiously as there may be riding classes in progress.
