Mt. Martha, Sunshine Reserve
This project involves planting a range of indigenous species where works crews have been progressively removing woody weeds (large weed plants). This removal works helps both to reduce the potential fire hazard to local residences and tips the balance back in favour of the local indigenous vegetation which has significant benefits for the local wildlife. Wildlife sometimes seen through this section of the creek include native swamp rats, sugar glider, echidna, koala and black-tailed wallaby and many species of birds.
