Nannup District High School and Community Planting Day

We aim to improve our Bushtucker garden in the school and in town, we also aim to increase our capacity for Nature Play by creating green shrub areas for children to play within, we are also creating outdoor classroom areas within the school. This planting event will provide educational opportunities about biodiversity, our local hot-spot status, local provenance species, Indigenous plant uses, local wildlife species, and provide specific planting skills and experience. It will provide opportunity for building partnerships within the community between the school, volunteers and local stakeholders. It will increase the schools capacity to include nature Play and Outdoor Learning themes across the curriculum.
