In partnership with the City of Melville and the Friends of Booragoon and Blue Gum Lakes, Wirambi Landcare will be planting seedlings at Booragoon Lake along Aldridge Road, western end. Meet along the footpath past Gould Place, look out for signage. The purpose of this project is to revegetate an area of the lake that requires planting of native sedges and rushes to create future habitat and nesting grounds for birds, frogs and invertebrates. The planting of the sedges and rushes will help improve the water quality of the lake as well Get outdoors, meet your community and make new friends along the way whilst doing something great for the environment. Volunteer for an hour or for the entire morning.
