UT Creek Landcare Group
The local council in Alexandra has had an environmental works crew removing many weed species, including prunus, briar rose, blackberries, ivy and broom from a significant and popular walking track in the township. This is vital work for reducing the spread of these weed species, however it has left many gaps in vegetation needed for the native fauna species to safely move between. UT Creek Landcare Group want to plant 750 endemic native species along these recently weeded areas to revegetate, stabilise and increase habitat.
