Frankston City Council Tree Day Site Details

Frankston City Council

Help your local bushland reserve on Sunday 2th August 2020 for National Tree Day. This site contains remanent Banksia Coastal Woodland, and was selected as it acts as an important habitat corridor between Seaford Wetlands, Kannanook Creek and The Seaford and Frankston Foreshores. Habitat corridors are essential to help reduce the negative effects of fragmentation in our natural landscapes. FCC Natural Reserves Rangers have been preparing the site since August 2019, with woody weed removal, mulching and placement of habitat logs. This year we will be planting 3500 indigenous tree, shrubs, grasses and ground cover species. Bring for friends and family and enjoy a few hours of contributing to Frankston Cities Natural Reserves.
