Georges River Council Tree Day Site Details

Georges River Council

Planting of 1,000 native canopy, understorey and groundcover species of mixed Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest, River Flat Eucalypt Forest and Swamp oak Floodplain Forest. Holes will have been dug and mulch spread across the area before the date. Volunteers are needed to install the plants and water them in! There will be water and light refreshments available. This is a family-friendly event, however children under the age of 15 must have parents or guardians present.

DIRECTIONS

One of Georges River Council's 2020 National Tree Day sites can be found on the western side of Riverwood Park, in Riverwood. The site is a short walk from Riverwood Train Station or Sydney Bus Route 940. Alternatively, car parking can be found on Bennett Lane.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Bring your own re-usable gloves if you own any. Wear enclosed, outdoor shoes, long pants and long sleeves.
