In response to the current circumstances presented by COVID-19, the City of Parramatta will celebrate National Tree Day a little differently this year. Unfortunately, there will be no community-planting event in 2020 at Parramatta. However, we are still committed to increasing biodiversity and improving habitat by planting the 10,000 native tube stock at our National Tree Day site in Ermington that we had especially grown for this event. You won’t be able to be there with us in person, so this year we are asking the community to support the project by ‘Adopting-a-Plant’. All you need to do is complete the form on Council's website listed here: We will then make sure that your name and inspirational message is displayed at our National Tree Day site in August - after we have planted all 10,000 native trees, shrubs and groundcovers on behalf of the City of Parramatta community. Together (in a different way), we can still make a positive change for our environment!
