Tropical Tree Day

Tropical Tree Day is an event organised by Skyrail, Cairns Regional Council and Pacific Toyota to promote planting and caring for native trees and plants, to maintain and support local biodiversity, to prioritise the planing of native plants. Arthur Strike park has been selected this year as the Tropical Tree Day location, because this area is protected under the Nature Conservation Act 1992. This park is being used to create an environment for a potential flying-fox roost. The planting will also have a free BBQ, educational activities, entertainment and great prizes.
