National Tree Day... in August
Hunter Intrepid Landcare and Fern Creek Gully are teaming up for a late National Tree Day planting. Fern Creek Gully Landcare have scored tubestock and jute matting for rehabilitating bushland in Dudley, south of Newcastle, and they need the community's help. Following planting, we will be having a picnic lunch on the beach. Bring some food to share, your swimmers and some games! Please RSVP for insurance reasons. We will not be able to allow you to take part if you do not RSVP prior to the event.

9:00am to 1:00pm
1 Ocean Street
Suitable for Children
Accessible for Disabled
Volunteers drive down Ocean Street until almost to the far end. An accessway curves around to the left. Cars can be parked here. The site can be uneven and sloped, so we recommend that young children and people with mobility concerns do not attend.
Volunteers are always encouraged to bring their own tools if they own them. We will also be providing tools and gloves as backup. Please bring a water bottle, good enclosed shoes, and a hat, and wear long pants to protect your legs. A long sleeved shirt to protect your arms is also advised. Gaiters, if you have them, are recommended.
