Harvest Swap & Tree Planting Day
The aim of this planting is to restore native rainforest on a private property near Palmwoods, QLD. It will form part of 'Harvest Swap' - a regular monthly gathering for exchanging homegrown/homemade produce. We will start by gathering under the branches of a grandmother Poinciana tree. While people arrive, and a cornucopia of homegrown/homemade things gather we can all enjoy a shared morning tea and some great conversation! THE SWAP / From 10am-11am (approx) Bring your excess HOMEGROWN PRODUCE - fruit, veggies, herbs, seedlings, seeds, eggs, honey, worm juice, compost - the limit is your imagination! AND HOMEMADE GOODS - preserves, baked goods, handmade items etc, etc. Bring a little, a lot, or simply a desire to share some likeminded company and plant a few trees. :) Please bring something to share for morning tea. THE TREE PLANTING / 11am-1pm (approx) Megan and Hein are working hard to return a large portion of their property to native rainforest. They will have a supply of native tube stock, and anyone who would like to, can plant some trees to help the planet! This is a free community event. All welcome. Please spread the word!
