Bridgetown-Greenbushes Community Landcare Tree Day Site Details

Bridgetown-Greenbushes Community Landcare

The planting will complete a creekline restoration project that began in 2016 in the Layman St Reserve. This final section is between the creekline, the River Walk Trail and the Blackwood River near the Walter St end of the walk trail, near the picnic table. The whole project has been to provide wildlife habitat in a previously weed infested part of this Shire Reserve and has benefited from heaps of work with community volunteers, Green Army teams, Shire parks and gardens staff and especially the Helping Hands Bushcarers. Artificial nesting hollows for bats, possums, pardalotes and black cockatoos are located in trees around the area.
