Jorgensen Park Planting Day Tree Day Site Details

Jorgensen Park Planting Day

The City of Kalamunda has been working in partnership with the Friends of Jorgensen Park, Swan-Alcoa Landcare Program and the Bibbulmun Track Foundation removing weeds from below the gum trees along the creek that flows through Jorgensen Park. So far we have planted some 6,000 native sedges, shrubs and trees back to provide habitat for native wildlife, and food for threatened Black Cockatoos which roost in the area. This year we will be planting more trees and shrubs in the area, to increase the habitat and cultural value of the site.
