Kingborough Council hosts National Tree Day in Snug

This year’s National Tree Day planting project focusses on caring for the coastal environment, adapting to and planning for the effects of climate change on this system. The plants put in on National Tree Day will create a biodiverse coastal habitat that will prolong the use of the beach by creating robust resilient and biodiverse dune and foreshore environment.

DIRECTIONS

Our planting site is on the Snug Beach foreshore beside the carpark. From Channel Highway in the center of Snug village, drive down Beach Road to the end and turn right into the carpark.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get muddy. Rug up against the cold weather. Bring your own gloves or borrow some from us on the day. Hot drinks, snacks, drinking water and a free BBQ are provided.
