City of Canterbury Bankstown Tree Day Site Details

City of Canterbury Bankstown

Come along for a community day of planting to celebrate our natural environment and help boost native habitat along the Cooks River. We’ll be planting a variety of native trees to cool our local area as part of Greater Sydney Landcare’s Creating Canopies project and the NSW Government Greening our City program. We’ll also plant shrubs, grasses and groundcovers to create valuable habitats for birds and other wildlife. Once established, the new habitat will provide food and refuge for small birds, support a diversity of insects including important pollinators and shelter for ground-dwelling animals like frogs and lizards.
