Willoughby City Council will be doing some planting of natives to further enrich the biodiversity, habitat and tree canopy of Warners Park. We will also help local residents choose some suitable native plants and free mulch to take home as a gift and further enhance the biodiversity and habitat of their homes. *** As there is limited parking and planting opportunities at this site it is important that any large groups please contact marc.cottee@willoughby.nsw.gov.au to check that we can accommodate you, thank you. *** Planting activity 10am -12pm (official times, however some planting opportunities will continue past 12pm) / Plant and mulch giveaway 10am- 2pm With its idyllic multi-purpose open-space location, and hosting Willoughby Community Garden, our NEW Bushcare Nursery greenhouse, the Warners Park Community Centre, Men’s Shed, and former Northbridge Bowling Club. Warners Park is a significant place for community to gather and enjoy being in (and caring for!) nature. National Tree Day provides an opportunity for you to connect with nature and meet your local community. If you are unable to join our Tree Day event in person you can still participate remotely. DIRECTIONS

Walk, bike or car-pool for climate friendly travel. Turn left off Kameruka Road on to The Outpost. Parking is available in the car park at the end. *** As there is limited parking and planting opportunities at this site it is important that any large groups please contact marc.cottee@willoughby.nsw.gov.au to check that we can accommodate you, thank you. *** Warners Park is an idyllic multi-purpose open space consisting of bushland, recreational grass areas, a children’s playground amenities block and carpark. It is a significant community gathering place, hosting Willoughby Community Garden, our NEW Bushcare Nursery greenhouse, the Warners Park Community Centre, Men’s Shed, and former Northbridge Bowling Club. The “Village Green” is a multi-purpose recreational area incorporating a picnic area and turfed “green” where casual ball games such as mini soccer can be played. It includes picnic settings, a BBQ, park benches and a bubbler. Bush tracks pass through bushland, allowing public access between Eastern Valley Way and Castlecrag. Walking tracks continue throughout Castlecrag and in the other direction to Market Garden Park which links to Flat Rock Gully and Artarmon. VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Bring your family and friends. Wear clothing suitable for gardening. Bring your snacks/lunch and re-fillable water bottles. If you'd like to bring home a native plant for your home garden, please bring a cardboard box or carry-bag to secure them in.
