Sutherland Shire Council Tree Day Site Details

Sutherland Shire Council

We will be planting 500 plants in total at Gunnamatta Park to help enhance the native canopy and ecosystem. This park is important urban habitat for possums, rosellas, king parrots, tawny frogmouths and powerful owls. It is also home to our local Prostanthera densa (mint bush) which is a vulnerable plant species in the Sutherland Shire. Our goal is to increase native vegetation at the park to support the populations of native animals that call this reserve home.
