Border Ranges Richmond Valley Landcare Network
This event will support the volunteer efforts of the Woodburn Landcare group to restore the riverbank of the Richmond River at Woodburn Park to healthy riparian condition. The site hosts the bones of Floodplain Swamp Forest and Dry Rainforest. It experienced extreme impacts during the 2022 flood with tree losses and heavy weed competition following the flood. The volunteer group have turned the tide and brought the site back to a condition to be celebrated. This planting will help to fill the gaps following the flood.
