Friends of Dandenong Valley Parklands

Our aim is to revegate an area of bushland using indigenous plants grown by the Friends of Dandenong Valley Parklands. This planting is part of a project to restore the streamside vegetation and wildlife corridor from Wellington Road northwards to Boronia Road.

DIRECTIONS

Planting site is in Garnett Road, adjacent to Mulgrave Reserve. Park along Garnett Rd or at Mulgrave Reserve (136 Garnett Rd, Wheelers Hill). Toilets are available at Mulgrave Reserve. The planting site is mostly flat but may be wet if there has been rain beforehand.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Clothing should be comfortable and suited to weather conditions on the day. Footwear must be sturdy shoes/boots - no sandals, thongs or open-toed shoes. Please bring filled water bottles and snacks if you intend to stay for more than 2 hours. We recommend that you bring your own gardening gloves. Planting tools will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own if so desired. Sausage sizzle from 1:15pm.
