Yarra Valley ECOSS
Our Aims and Objectives are greater than the amount of trees in the ground on the day. We intend to promote a culture of involvement and passion around land care, rehabilitation, and community connectedness. We intend to offer the opportunity for our local Environment groups to recruit volunteers with the intention of greater collective impact in the future. We want to make it fun, educational and give participants an inclusive opportunity for involvement.

DIRECTIONS
Yarra Valley ECOSS is a 17 Ha property in Wesburn. The site is next to a former tip- now a waste transfer station. We have been regenerating the property for the last 10 years. At the rear of the property is a degraded cleared paddock, accessible through the internal roading on the property.
VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
We will provide the tools, a woodfired pizza lunch for participants, refreshments, educational opportunities through a Welcome to Country and educational session on the local Indigenous Seasons, a BioChar workshop, opportunities to connect and learn about volunteering with our local Landcare Network and other local environment and 'friends of' groups. This planting will build on our Wildlife Corridor in progress and start revegetating a swampy wetlands area. We want to offer this event as a celebration and fun way to learn and connect in a meaningful activity that will benefit the environment and the people involved. People will be asked to bring appropriate footwear- gumboots/blunstones or work boots that are water resilient, their own gloves if preferred, sun hats if sunny, a bottle of water that can be refilled onsite. BYO keep cup.
