Goonellabah Tucki Landcare Inc. Tree Day Site Details

Goonellabah Tucki Landcare Inc.

To run a two week planting of trees and grasses into open areas and riparian zones along Upper Tucki Creek. (2000 trees in 2 weeks) One of only 2 creeks in Goonellabah and the only creek with public access and a walking track. The creek is home to platypus and the Purple Spotted Gudgeon (endangered). The aim is to involve school children and community members and teach them the importance of regenerating this degraded riparian zone to improve creek health and create a rich, biodiverse environment that our wildlife can thrive in. We are creating a very special space for our community and a space that will be enjoyed by future generations.
