How to apply for a grant from Planet Ark's Seedling Bank

By Jennifer McMillan 19 April 2022

Do you have an environmental project you need support with? Apply for a grant from The Seedling Bank! Planet Ark’s Seedling Bank grant applications will be open from 26 April 2022 – 27 May 2022.

Planet Ark’s National Tree Day team launched The Seedling Bank in 2019 to give communities and schools the funds they need to put seedlings in the ground where they’re needed most. The program builds on the success of Australia’s largest tree planting and nature care event, which has seen over 26 million trees planted since 1996.

Since The Seedling Bank launched, 70 groups have received funding and 33,000 native seedlings have been planted across every state and territory in Australia. This marks round six of The Seedling Bank grants and Team Tree Day are looking for applications big or small. Planting events do not need to take place on National Tree Day, we support events all year round.

Projects range from bush tucker gardens, revegetation of habitats to encourage native wildlife, planting to protect cultural heritage sites and transformation of rubbish tips to provide habitat for endemic plant and animal species including the endangered Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo! Preference will be given to projects with the greatest environmental impact and community focus.
