Tropical Tree Day Gets Underway
Author: Michelle Cook
Tropical Tree Day is the dedicated day for volunteers who live in the tropics to take part in Australia’s largest community tree planting event. It is one of 12 alternative National Tree Day planting dates held throughout the year to accommodate areas that may not find it suitable to plant on National Tree Day – held annually on the last Sunday in July.
Volunteers are welcome to attend organised tree plantings in Cairns and Port Douglas in Queensland's far north and Kununurra in WA's Kimberley region.
