City of Hobart Tree Day Site Details

City of Hobart

To celebrate National Tree Day, the City of Hobart Bushcare team will once again host a free native plant giveaway (one plant per person) and speak with the community about the importance of planting trees for our environment and health. We're encouraging the community to use plants native to the region to create a habitat sanctuary in their own garden that will attract local birds and other wildlife, including butterflies. Tips for gardening with natives and creating a habitat sanctuary can be found on our website: https://www.hobartcity.com.au/Community/Events-and-activities/Bushcare/Help-care-for-nature
