FRIENDS OF THE DALE RIVER Tree Day Site Details

FRIENDS OF THE DALE RIVER

Reserve Pool is one of three unique freshwater pools situated on the Dale River and supports a very significant native vegetation remnant in the Avon Wheatbelt Bioregion as well as an abundance of birdlife. Friends of the Dale River (FODR) have been undertaking restoration and rehabilitation in this Reserve for a number of years. This planting will be concentrated in the riparian zone with the aim of reducing silt run off and suppressing invasive weed species. Many of the plant species selected will also contribute as a food source for native birds and animals.
