Council has been working in Scarborough Park for several years now, removing weeds and putting in hundreds of native plants to improve and create more bushland. The National Tree Day planting will add to another recently planted area, creating a nice big patch of native plants. After we've put in the plants on National Tree Day, we'll celebrate with a cup of tea and a pastry and you are also welcome to have a look around the Reserve and chat with the bush regeneration contractors to see what works have been done over the years and what we are planning for the future.

Dear volunteers, Planting is generally a dirty and damp process so please wear some old gardening clothes, long trousers and long sleeved shirt, closed in shoes and a hat are a must. It will aslo probably be cool so bring something warm. This year you will also need to bring your own gardening gloves and if you would like a cup of tea, your own cup or mug.
