DIRECTIONS

This attractive Valley Grassy Forest bushland reserve of 3.87 hectares is located 4.6 kms from the corner of Mt Mercer/Buninyong road and Hardies Hill road. There is an open swampy area that was overgrown by spiny rush and gorse. The spiny rush is gradually being reduced and replaced with local indigenous plants. The reserve boasts 79 native plant and at least 24 bird species. The reserve is jointly managed by Ballarat Environment Network and G.L.G.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear (gum boots recommended). Bring gardening gloves, eye protection and Hamiltons planter/s if you have one. There are no drinking facilities or toilets on site. Tea and Coffee provided but bring your own hot water. There's plenty of road side parking available.
