Shire of Denmark - Millars Creek Planting
The Shire of Denmark has been working on improving the urban waterway system known as Millars Creek, a staged approach has been implemented over a number of years to improve sections of the creek line and its surrounds including weed control, hardscaping and revegetation works. These works have been used to improve the stormwater flow, stabilise banks, retain nutrients, provide a nature corridor and improve the aesthetics of this creek close to the CBD of Denmark. The 2019 revegetation project is located near the Denmark Art Council building and in the area behind the old Butter Factory. The proposed date for planting is 10th of July 2019, Shire staff members will be on site to coordinate activities. Any support is welcome on the day, even if you are not able to assist in planting please come down for this great event.
