Inner West Council - Leichhardt Park Tree Day Site Details

Inner West Council - Leichhardt Park

Significant understorey (e.g, groundcovers, grasses and shrubs) plantings have been undertaken in Leichhardt Park by Bushcare volunteers and Council in previous years. Significant local fauna include the Grey-Headed Flying Fox, Yellow-tailed Cockatoo, Tawny Frogmouth and Buff-banded Rail. This year's understorey plantings will increase habitat for insects, reptiles and small birds, and will help improve soil structure and biodiversity (e.g. microbes, worms and fungi).
