Aims of the project: Sunshine Coast Council & Coolum & North Shore Coast Care will be organising and facilitating a National Tree Day Community dune planting at Mudjimba / Marcoola beach to support the efforts of works previously undertaken by the Coast Care Group. This project is designed to provide a greater buffer to protect the dune in response to the changing erosion rates from storm surges that impact the dynamic dunal System. The Tree planting will also support the efforts of the community group working on the dunes by assisting dune building and enhancing habitat values.

Notes about the day for Volunteers:
Please wear appropriate clothing ( hat, covered shoes, long sleeved shirt and long pants recommended ).
Parking limited so a short walk maybe required along the esplande.
The following will be provided: Gloves, Tools and equipment for planting, Watering cans / buckets, Drinking water, BBQ
