Aims of the project: Sunshine Coast Council & Coolum & North Shore Coast Care will be organising and facilitating a National Tree Day Community dune planting at Yaroomba beach to support the efforts of works previously undertaken by the Coast Care Group. This project is designed to provide a greater buffer to protect the dune in response to the changing erosion rates from storm surges that impact the dynamic dunal System. The Tree planting will also support the efforts of the community group working on the dunes by assisting dune building and enhancing habitat values.

Directions: Park at the End of Warragah Parade, Enter into Birrahal Park to your left where you will require to register.

Please wear appropriate clothing ( hat, covered shoes, long sleeved shirt and long pants recommended ).
The following will be provided: Gloves, Tools and equipment for planting, Watering cans / buckets, Drinking water, Refreshments, BBQ
