CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
By entering the competition, You, the Entrant, hereby accept these competition terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are subject to change by Planet Ark:
- Eligibility: The competition is open to all school children under the age of 18. Participants must have parental or legal guardian consent to enter.
- Submission Deadline: All entries must be submitted by 31 August at 11:59pm AEST. Entries received after this date will not be considered.
- Original Work: Entries must be original creations of the participant. Plagiarism or use of copyrighted material without permission, or any use of artificial intelligence (AI), will result in disqualification.
- Nature Guardian Theme: Each entry must include the creation of a "Nature Guardian". A Nature Guardian can be an artwork, sculpture, digital design, or any other creative representation that embodies the concept of protecting and preserving nature.
- Format: Entries should be submitted in digital format. For physical artworks or sculptures, participants must submit clear photographs from different angles showcasing the creation.
- Identification:Each entry must be accompanied by the participant's full name, age, school name, and guardian's contact information (email address and phone number).
- Permission: By submitting an entry, participants grant the competition organisers the right to display, reproduce, and publish their entries for promotional and exhibition purposes related to the competition.
- Publicity:You agree to participate in related publicity for the purposes of advertising and promotion and for your name and image/s to be used indefinitely without additional compensation.
- Number of Entries: Each participant may submit only one entry to the competition. In case of multiple submissions, only the first entry received will be considered.
- Compliance: Entries must comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to those concerning obscenity, defamation, and privacy. Entries must comply with the Submission Requirements outlined below.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Digital Submissions: Digital submissions (such as photographs, scanned artwork, or digital files) must be submitted via the Jotform provided. Submissions received by email or any other method will not be accepted. Keep your own copy of your files, as they will not be returned after the competition. Submissions must be high resolution in JPG/JPEG/PNG/PDF format and must be saved no larger than 5MB.
- Physical Submissions: Participants submitting physical artworks or sculptures should photograph their creations and upload the photographs as per the instructions above. Physical submissions will not be returned and should not be sent through physical mail.
- Identification: Each electronic file must be labelled with your first and last name, and image title. Eg.JohnSmith_NatureGuardian_BettytheBeetle.jpg. Keep your own copy of your files, as they will not be returned after the competition.
- Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on creativity, relevance to the theme of 'nature guardians', thoughtfulness, and overall impact.
- Notification: Winners will be notified via email or phone within 30 days after the submission deadline. Prizes will be awarded as outlined below.
- Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top entries as determined by the judging panel. Details of the prizes will be communicated to the winners at the time of notification.
DESIGN USE AND RIGHTS
- The Entrant gives permission for the reproduction of their work(s) for promotional and advertising purposes.
- The Entrant gives permission for their designs and name to be published as selected award winners in media, exhibitions, events, newsletters, websites owned by or in alliance with Planet Ark for promotional purposes.
PRIZING.
Each winner will receive the following:
- x 1 Welcome to country voucher worth $100
- x 1 Voucher for your chosen local plant nursery worth $100

Participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions by submitting an entry to the Nature Patterns Photography Competition. The decision of the judging panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the results.
