This event has already taken place

Sunday, 01 August 2010 9:00am to 4:30pm

Aims of the project: Victorian brumby Association VBA is a registered charity organisation. We dedicated our time to saving Australian heritage horses. Being our Brumbies birthday on the 1st of August and what better way to celebrate than by planting trees for them! We are aiming to plant around 300 trees and shrubs to beautify Brumbys Run, provide shade and wind breaks for our Brumbies and to prevent erosion. Whilst also benefiting the environment & native animals. We will also be planting a special memorial garden to commemorate some of our Brumbies who didn’t make it and the many who are killed under government management plans each year. If you would like to plant a tree for your lost Brumby in our garden, please contact us before the planting day to make your request.
