Tree Day Site Details

Aims of the project: This site was devasted in the Nov. '08 storm. We will begin to replace many of the shade trees lost, so planters and other visitors to the park may once again enjoy the shade and the growth of habitat for many birds and other small animals.
Project is in partnership with Brisbane City Council who are preparing the site and providing water and half of the plants.

Notes about the day for Volunteers:
Please wear appropriate clothing (hat, covered shoes, long sleeved shirt and long pants recommended.
We have a few tools. Please try to bring something for digging (mattock,pick, fork,shovel) Vegetarians will need something to put on the bar-b-q or let me know and I will buy something.Mitchelton Lions Club will provide sausage sizzle for $1.
