Sporting Groups and Clubs

National Tree Day is a great way for sports clubs to beautify and enhance their outdoor recreational area while engaging their club members in a fun nature-care activity that benefits the entire community.

Listen to what Adam Goodes, Sydney Swans AFL legend has to say about Tree Day

Trees also provide much needed shade, improve community appearance and add beauty to an area.

So why not include a working bee for your club on or around National Tree Day?  Strike up the barbie, include a sausage sizzle and make a fun morning or afternoon out of it.  You'll be doing something great for your kids and your local environment.

Officially, National Tree Day is on Sunday 31st July 2016 and Schools Tree Day is on Friday 29th July, but you can register a site or activity on any day that suits your group.

If your club has it's own land you could run either a private planting event for club members or open the event to the wider community by running a public site.  Alternatively if you are unable to run an event your group could always join another local public site run by your council or group using the Search  facility on our website.
