School and Community Tree Day events form the backbone of National Tree Day.
The involvement of children in this event stimulates their interest in the environment and through community involvement strengthens the belief that they can make a difference.
These stories highlight the many ways in which schools get involved in Tree Day events.
On Friday 29th July 2011 team members from Bunnings Warehouse Albany travelled nearly 100km to Wellstead Primary School for Planet Ark's Schools Tree Day.
"For Schools Tree Day 2015 Bunnings Mittagong and Bunnings Campbelltown teamed up and met in the middle at Wilton Public School."
"The students from Freshwater Bay Primary School proved that a little bit of rain was no match for their green thumbs for Schools Tree Day 2015."
"Team members from Bunnings Esperance travelled over 50km to work with students from Scaddan Primary School, planting natives and working on their kitchen garden."
